Rules

These apply on every server in the cluster. Play straight and you will never think about them again. If something here is unclear, ask in Discord before you do it, not after.

Numbered to match the rules channel in Discord, so a reference like 3.3 means the same thing in both places. Section 1 there covers Discord itself and is not repeated here.

2.1 Cheating, exploits and duping

This is the one section with no flexibility. Confirmed cheat bans are permanent and are not appealable, regardless of how old the offence is.

  • No cheats, exploits, dupes or modified game files. Any of these is an instant permanent ban.
  • Report exploits the moment you find one. Using a bug instead of reporting it is treated the same as cheating.
  • Report your own squad. Staying quiet about a teammate who is cheating, exploiting or duping earns you the same ban they get.
  • No blocked shader mods. Working around DayZ's block on ReShade and similar tools counts as cheating.
  • Prior cheating anywhere carries over. If you have cheated in DayZ on any server, you are not welcome here.

2.2 Association and account history

  • Knowingly playing with a banned cheater who is evading their ban is an association ban unless you report them straight away.
  • Any association with cheaters, cheat sellers or cheat developers - in any game - is a permanent ban.
  • Staff may ban accounts carrying tracked game bans (VAC, game or public bans), including alts.
  • Bought accounts are your risk. A ban attached to an account stays attached to it, even if someone else earned it.
  • Shared accounts are your risk. If an account you shared or borrowed gets banned, linked accounts - including yours - may go with it.

2.3 Ban evasion and alt accounts

  • No ban evasion. Alt accounts, VPNs or any other workaround to get around a ban are prohibited.
  • Alts themselves are fine - using them to sidestep rules or game mechanics is not.
  • You may only be logged into one account at any time. Having two accounts online at once is prohibited regardless of intent.
  • No switching accounts during a fight. While you are in an active engagement you may not log into another account until it is over - for example, logging into an alt positioned behind your enemy to flank them mid-fight.

Examples of alt abuse: parking an alt at a loot area as walking storage, or stashing valuables on an alt to keep them away from raiders.

Switching accounts mid-fight also breaks 3.3, since leaving your main to do it is a combat log. "I did not log out, I switched" is not a defence.

2.4 Player conduct

  • Trash talk is part of the game and we allow a fair amount of it. Racism, sexism, discrimination, harassment and sustained toxicity are not.
  • No stream sniping. It is an unfair advantage and results in a permanent ban.
  • Soundboards in voice chat are fine in moderation. Spamming them to harass people is not.

3.1 Loot and spawn zones

  • No loot cycling. Do not relog at a location to reroll loot, and do not dump items to force fresh spawns.
  • No spawn camping. Repeatedly gunning down fresh spawns at or near coastal spawn points is griefing.
  • Bringing high-tier gear into a spawn zone to farm fresh spawns is spawn camping regardless of the body count.

Moving through a spawn town, or a fight that happens to break out there, is fine - intent is what matters, and staff judge intent.

3.2 Movement exploits

  • Moonwalking, ice skating and similar movement glitches are banned, especially in a gunfight.

3.3 Combat logging

You may not log out if any of the following are true:

  • You have dealt or taken player damage in the last 10 minutes.
  • You have shot at, or been shot at by, another player in the last 10 minutes.
  • Your base has been damaged by raiders in the last 20 minutes.

If you genuinely have to leave inside one of those windows, kill your character first (F11). If you crash, reconnect within a reasonable time.

3.4 Logging out with storage

  • You may not log out holding or carrying a storage container of 20+ slots, including one hidden inside a backpack.
  • Exception: containers are allowed in hands or inventory while using a Transport antenna to travel.

3.5 Logging out in high-tier zones

  • Logging out inside a high-tier loot area is prohibited. Leave the area completely first.
  • Logging out in or around these zones to log back in later and ambush players counts as combat logging.
  • Be clear of these zones before a scheduled restart as well - staying logged in there through one is a violation. Restarts run at 6 AM, 12 PM, 6 PM and 12 AM EST.
  • Restarts are announced in game as admin messages and posted in Discord. Keep admin messages enabled; missing them is not an excuse.

4.1 Where you can build

  • Do not build near spawn areas in a way that cuts fresh spawns off from starter loot.
  • Do not wall off key objectives - the Livonia bunker, Namalsk's A3, or any freight or Transport antenna site.
  • Do not build next to an objective and then roof camp it to deny access.

4.2 Base raidability and door limit

Every part of your base, including your flagpole and loot areas, must be reachable through a legitimate raidable path.

  • Do not block entrances with indestructible objects such as watchtowers.
  • Do not block entrances with deployables - furniture, tents, storage and the like.
  • Do not place a flagpole somewhere raiders can only reach by boosting or building.
  • A base may have a maximum of 10 doors or gates protecting its deepest loot.

On the door limit: the longest path through doors or gates, from outside the base to your deepest protected loot area, may not exceed 10. Where a base has several routes to the same loot area, the longest reasonable raiding route is the one that counts, and staff have the final say on which route that is. In simple terms, a raider must never need to pass through more than 10 doors or gates to reach your deepest loot.

Bases breaking these rules are deleted without warning and without compensation. If you are unsure, open a ticket before you build.

4.3 Structural support

Exterior sections of a base must follow basic structural realism.

  • A floor supported at one end only may extend a maximum of 2 floor sections beyond its supporting wall or pillar.
  • A floor bridging two supporting walls or pillars may span a maximum of 3 floor sections between them.
  • Supports and pillars are not required throughout the interior of an enclosed base.

This is aimed at unrealistic exterior platforms, floating sections and long unsupported overhangs. If you are unsure whether an exterior structure is supported well enough, open a ticket before you carry on building.

4.4 Raiding

  • Do not log out inside someone else's base unless you have taken full control of it - meaning you have sealed it with your own wall or gate and a codelock.
  • Glitching through walls, windows, buildings or any solid object is strictly prohibited.
  • You may build during a raid, subject to the restrictions below.
  • You may not wall off, block, or place your own doors or gates on another player's base.
  • You may not place a kit purely to stand or walk on its ghost preview for height or any other raiding advantage.
  • You may only have one unbuilt kit placed at a time when building to assist a raid, and it must be fully constructed before you place another.
  • Record your raids. If a report is filed, footage settles it fast.

4.5 Boosting

  • One player or one item is allowed.
  • One vehicle is allowed.
  • Stacking multiple players, multiple items or multiple vehicles is not.

4.6 Vehicles at your base

  • A maximum of 3 vehicles may be kept inside your base walls.
  • Any beyond that may be deleted by staff at their discretion, without warning and without compensation.

Enforcement

Staff decisions are final. Cheating, duping and ban evasion are permanent and non-appealable; everything else escalates from a warning through to a temporary ban depending on severity. Failing to report cheating or exploit abuse - or benefiting from it, actively or passively - is itself a bannable offence. Appeals and questions go through Discord.
